LaudArmonia Choir
San Francesco al Campo
The choir was born two decades ago in order to better underline liturgical celebrations with its singings. The currently number of singers is of 35 elements.
On May 2014, after a three years training of “Laboratorio di direzione corale Fosco Corti” by the conductor, a first Christmas musical event, was proposed and it has represented a crucial moment for the choir improvement. In the same time, other singers, who had already sung in other occasion with the group, joined the choir, suggesting the central role of the choir into the community. The choir name itself has been chosen to represent a connection of all the people. Here comes “LaudArmonia” in homage to the spirituality of St. Francis “Lauda”, the same desire of Francis to praise the Lord and nature with singing and joy and Harmony as harmony of creation, musical and human. On October 5th, 2015, a second concert dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi has been proposed. Between the two events, the choir created exchanges with other choirs and in September 2015 participated at the first Turin Marathon Choral meeting with other 30 choirs from all over the Piedmont.
