The theme of the tenth edition of the International Festival of Sacred Franciscan Music is \u201cthe Word became flesh\u201d. From the 19<sup>th<\/sup> to the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> of October Franciscan places become exceptional theatres for music and meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Thursday the 19<sup>th<\/sup> of October, the event gets into the heart with the first concert: it will be an occasion of intergenerational meeting and listening because of the presence of the young artists of the Liceo Musicale Istituto \u201cCampostrini\u201d Choir coming from Verona. It will play its concerts with the Choir of Iglesias, coming from Sardinia at 9 p.m. in the Lower Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi.<\/p>\n<p>This concert is the first of many other music appointments that will bring Franciscan music in Assisi.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, Friday the 20<sup>th<\/sup> of October, the day will be characterized by two concerts that are taking place in Saint Rufino Cathedral: the Polyphonic Choir \u201cMagnificat\u201d (Riesi, CL) and the \u201cMatilde Salvador\u201d Choir will perform at 5 p.m. Then, at 9 p.m. it will be the turn of the L\u00e6ti Cantores (Salerno SA) and of the Polyphonic Choir \u201cAgor\u00e0\u201d from Carbonia.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday the 21<sup>st<\/sup> of October will be an intense day for the Franciscan music and for the dialogue thanks to three concerts. Music will take off from the morning. At 11 a.m. in Saint Peter Church, the voices of the \u201cArmonia\u201d Choir (Salerno) and of the Vocal Ensemble \u201cEmozioni inCanto\u201d will exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>At 4 p.m. in Santa Maria degli Angeli Basilica there will be the concert of the Vocal Ensemble \u201cResurrexit\u201d from Potenza and of the Choir \u201cLaudarmonia\u201d coming from San Francesco al Campo, Turin.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, at 8:30 p.m. in the Saint Francis Upper Basilica in Assisi it will be moment of the final concert of the festival. It will be an occasion for the public to listen all the attendant groups and to have a little taste of their programs.<\/p>\n<p>Assisi Pax Mundi will come to an end on Sunday the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> of October at 10:30 am. with the Solemn Mass that will take place in the Saint Francis Upper Basilica.<\/p>\n<p>After these four days, for the special occasion of the tenth edition of the International Festival of Sacred Franciscan Music, there will be another final exceptional event. The date is Saturday the 28<sup>th<\/sup> of October at 9 p.m. in the Saint Francis Upper Basilica in Assisi with the exhibition of the Veritas Choir coming from Tokyo.
