Assisi continues to promote and spread the culture of the dialogue thanks to its particular attitude in promoting the peace and the respect among people: a culture that is intended to accept you all who follow St Francis and St Clare\u2019s example.<\/p>\n

\u201cAssisi Pax Mundi\u201d festival is organized by the four Franciscan Families in Assisi with the cooperation of the Chapel Choir of the Papal Basilica of St Francis: it has reached its 10th edition and it really want to offer the possibility to dialogue for peace and communion. Artists participating at the event are invited to present their repertoire and to meet each other in the beautiful scenery of Assisi, to share their experiences and feelings.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year, we Franciscan families, we will celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the Later Rule and of the well-known Greccio’s Crib: in 1223, in order to celebrate Christmas, Saint Francis wanted to represent \u201cthe Baby who was born in Betlem and to show us the difficulties his family had because of the lack of all the things that an infant may need, he also want to show us how He was put in a manger with straw\u201d<\/em> (FF 468). The deep desire to faithfully live the Gospel led Saint Francis to represent with that Nativity scene the misery and the humility of God incarnating<\/strong> in a child. In fact \u201cHe meditated on the Lord’s Words and he never loose sight of Its works. But the humility of the Incarnation<\/strong> and the charity of the Passion were so deeply impressed in its memory that he thought with difficulty to other\u201d<\/em> (FF467).<\/p>\n

We Franciscan Families, in the occasion of this 10th edition of Assisi Pax Mundi, we can do nothing but follow the example of our Seraphic Father trying to contemplate \u201cthe Word that became flesh and made his dwelling among us\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The festival is taking place from the 19th<\/sup> to 22nd<\/sup> of October 2023 with a series of concerts that will occur in different moments of the day in the Franciscan places of Assisi and its surroundings; the final concert will be the event\u2019s crowning moment: all entered groups will participate in it. The Festival will end with the Solemn Eucharist Celebration at the Saint Francis Upper Basilica and with the performance of the Song of the Creatures by p. Domenico Stella.<\/p>\n
