It was built midway through the 12th-century and is characterised by a simple fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n<p>The inside consists of one nave with Gothic arches and the walls are covered with frescoes from the 15th and 16th-century. Embrasures allow light to enter and tradition has it that the Bell tower rang during St. Francis\u2019s final agony.
